Our classroom is a highly structured setting dedicated to supporting students with Autistic Spectrum Disorders. We support eight students, with a wide variety of needs, from grades 3-5 using components of the TEACCH method (Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication handicapped CHildren).
Our focus is on the development of language and communication skills, social skills, self-help & academic skills. An emphasis is placed on maintaining appropriate behavior and developing independent skills through the use of structure.
